Emerging Indications for Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment: Registry Cohort Study

This information can also support the use of HBO2 for individual conditions when other treatments are not effective. Since the registry’s inception, 378 cases have been recorded where treatment was given for a condition falling outside of the current 15 UHMS-approved indications. Center totals for emerging indications contributing to the analysis (n=378). a DDRC: Diving Diseases Research Center. b LHM: London Hyperbaric Medicine.

An After-Hours Virtual Care Service for Children With Medical Complexity and New Medical Technology: Mixed Methods Feasibility Study

An After-Hours Virtual Care Service for Children With Medical Complexity and New Medical Technology: Mixed Methods Feasibility Study

I ended up taking my daughter to the emergency department for a complication that could have been avoided entirely and virtually managed at home with video calling support. At the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids), Canada’s largest pediatric hospital, over 3000 CMC-TD are discharged each year to home who have an ongoing need for specialized home and community care [13,14].

Digital Health App to Address Disparate HIV Outcomes Among Black Women Living in Metro-Atlanta: Protocol for a Multiphase, Mixed Methods Pilot Feasibility Study

Digital Health App to Address Disparate HIV Outcomes Among Black Women Living in Metro-Atlanta: Protocol for a Multiphase, Mixed Methods Pilot Feasibility Study

By centering Black women in this project, Savvy HER is curated for and by Black women to effectively meet this group’s needs [38]. In following CBPR principles, we have assembled a community advisory board (CAB) to steer project priorities, implementation, and dissemination. The multidisciplinary CAB has a total of 8 members and includes HIV clinicians, SRH advocacy representatives, social workers, educators, and nonprofit organizations consisting of Black women.

Determinants of Implementation of a Critical Care Registry in Asia: Lessons From a Qualitative Study

Determinants of Implementation of a Critical Care Registry in Asia: Lessons From a Qualitative Study

The registry is independent of hospital information systems and, as such, represents an additional tool for sites to use for their own priorities, including service evaluation and research. The registry is described further in Multimedia Appendix 1 using the Template for Intervention Description and Replication [24].

Monitoring the Implementation of Tobacco Cessation Support Tools: Using Novel Electronic Health Record Activity Metrics

Monitoring the Implementation of Tobacco Cessation Support Tools: Using Novel Electronic Health Record Activity Metrics

This study aimed to develop automatic metrics to monitor the implementation of EHR-embedded CDS tools and demonstrate their use within the context of a smoking cessation program sponsored by a National Cancer Institute (NCI)–designated cancer center. Tobacco use increases the risk of cancer and leads to poor prognosis after cancer diagnosis [13-16].

Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Implementation of Mobile Health to Improve the Uptake of Hydroxyurea in Patients With Sickle Cell Disease: Mixed Methods Study

As part of the planned approach for the multisite study, we used the reach, effectiveness, adoption, implementation, and maintenance (RE-AIM) framework to inform the evaluation of the implementation and effectiveness of the In Charge Health app [19]. m Health implementation was assessed based on user m Health engagement, which was classified according to patients’ daily app use (number of days accessed during study participation).

Assessing Physician’s Motivational Communication Skills: 5-Step Mixed Methods Development Study of the Motivational Communication Competency Assessment Test

The World Health Organization estimates that >71% of deaths worldwide result from noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic lung disease, diabetes, and obesity [1]. Despite advances in genetic, pharmacological, and surgical medicine, the prevalence and associated social and economic burden of NCDs are increasing rather than decreasing [2].

Usability Issues in Evidence-Based Psychosocial Interventions and Implementation Strategies: Cross-project Analysis

Usability Issues in Evidence-Based Psychosocial Interventions and Implementation Strategies: Cross-project Analysis

The UW ALACRITY Center organized the work in these projects according to the Discover, Design/Build, and Test (DDBT) model, which draws from both implementation science (IS) and HCD [16]. The DDBT model is a phased approach to intervention and strategy redesign that uses methods from HCD and is informed by the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research model, including the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research intervention, individual, inner setting, and process constructs [23].
