Hyperpolarized Magnetic Resonance and Artificial Intelligence: Frontiers of Imaging in Pancreatic Cancer

Hyperpolarization (HP)-based magnetic resonance (MR) has become a major new imaging modality by providing valuable information on previously inaccessible aspects of biological processes owing to its ability for detecting endogenous, nontoxic 13 C-labeled probes that can monitor enzymatic conversions through key biochemical pathways [4-6]. Clinical trials with this modality are ongoing at several centers worldwide [7].
