Axial spondyloarthritis (AS) is an inflammatory rheumatic disease causing spine inflammation and chronic back pain [1,2]. This leads to stiffness and limited mobility due to deformity and ossification [3]. AS usually begins before age 45, impacting quality of life, daily activities, social participation, and employment [4-6]. Treatment combines pharmacological and nonpharmacological approaches [7,8] with physical therapy recommended by AS guidelines [9].

Spondyloarthritis (Sp A) is a chronic inflammatory disease that comprises a collection of diseases rather than a singular specific disease. It is commonly classified into several subtypes, including ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis, enteropathic arthritis, juvenile chronic arthritis, and undifferentiated Sp A. Among these subtypes, ankylosing spondylitis is the most prevalent, characterized by radiologically positive axial Sp A [1].

Chronic inflammatory joint diseases (IJDs), including axial spondyloarthritis (ax Sp A), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and psoriatic arthritis (Ps A), often affect young patients. Most patients are treated with disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). These patients are scheduled for regular follow-up visits in specialist health care, which can be time-consuming, especially for those active in the workforce.

In axial spondyloarthritis (ax Sp A), studies have demonstrated that the distribution of disease screening tools to high-risk patients over social media is an effective approach for a prompt diagnosis, especially because there is a lack of awareness of this disease among patients and health care professionals alike [10].

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS), the prototype of spondyloarthritis (Sp A), is an inflammatory disease that can affect the axial skeleton and peripheral joints [1]. Since AS usually starts in young adulthood, the structural and functional impairments resulting in limitation of activities and social participation can exert considerable lifetime individual impact [2].
Clinical practice guidelines for AS recommend that exercise be included in the management of AS [3,4].

Gait and Axial Spondyloarthritis: Comparative Gait Analysis Study Using Foot-Worn Inertial Sensors
The generic term spondyloarthritis (Sp A) regroups part of chronic inflammatory diseases with common clinical, genetic, and pathophysiological features [1,2]. Diagnosis of Sp A is based on the Assessment of Spondyloarthritis International Society (ASAS) criteria [3]. Two groups of Sp A are defined: axial Sp A (ax Sp A) with main manifestations being on spinal and sacroiliac joints, and peripheral Sp A with main manifestations being arthritis, enthesitis or dactylitis [1,3].

Among these diseases, spondyloarthritis (Sp A) is a group of several related disorders that can be highly debilitating and significantly impact patients' quality of life, health care systems, and society [1].
As there is no cure, treatment focuses on the relief of symptoms and the delay of the disease's progression. Biologic therapies are the most recent approach for treating these disorders, and their use is recommended when all other methods have failed.
