Preadmission and in-hospital LDL levels were compared by a paired t test (2-tailed). The χ2 test was used to assess impact of the intervention on the number of patients who had lipid levels measured during hospitalization and the percentage of patients discharged on high-intensity statin therapy. The effect of the intervention on changes made in lipid-lowering therapy from admission to discharge was assessed using a Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel test.
