Social Media and eHealth Literacy Among Older Adults: Systematic Literature Review

In addition, the study by Wu and Yu [14] was the only study that specifically examined older adults’ preferences for social media platforms. Their findings revealed that the most commonly used social media feature among older adults was instant text messaging. Unlike younger generations, who tended to use a wide variety of apps, older adults preferred a limited selection of platforms, often opting for those they were already familiar with.
