For instance, Eberle and Stichling [52] reported a significant Hb A1c reduction in patients with T1 DM and T2 DM (MD –0.64%, 95% CI –1.01% to –0.26%), whereas Lee et al [53] observed a smaller effect in patients with T1 DM (MD –0.18%, 95% CI –0.33% to –0.04%). These discrepancies may be attributed to differences in patient characteristics, intervention implementation, and study sample sizes.
