Safety and Efficacy of Modular Digital Psychotherapy for Social Anxiety: Randomized Controlled Trial

Safety and Efficacy of Modular Digital Psychotherapy for Social Anxiety: Randomized Controlled Trial

In the long term, SAD can lead to profound social isolation; missed opportunities; and comorbid conditions such as depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and substance abuse [1,3,4]. While symptoms do not typically improve in the absence of treatment [5,6], cognitive behavioral therapy for social anxiety (CBT-SA) has been established as an effective treatment with moderate to large effects on social anxiety symptoms [7-9].

Effectiveness of Virtual Reality–Complemented Pulmonary Rehabilitation on Lung Function, Exercise Capacity, Dyspnea, and Health Status in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Specifically, studies with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up periods are needed to evaluate the long-term effectiveness and sustainability of VR-complemented PR. Developing standardized VR protocols that define exercise intensity, frequency, duration, and content would help reduce heterogeneity and improve the comparability of results across studies.

HIV Incidence and Associated Risk Factors Among Young Men Who Have Sex With Men in Tianjin, China: Retrospective Cohort Study

HIV Incidence and Associated Risk Factors Among Young Men Who Have Sex With Men in Tianjin, China: Retrospective Cohort Study

Our study is the first long-term cohort study to assess the incidence of HIV and its associated factors among YMSM in Tianjin. The HIV incidence identified in this study was similar to the incidence among MSM under 24 years old (2.63/100 PYs) in Shanghai, published in 2019 [17]. This study found that the incidence of HIV among YMSM in Tianjin showed a stable trend from 2017 to 2022 and was maintained at an elevated level.

However, positive and negative emotions may exist in long comments addressing different aspects of the medical process. Based on the existing literature and data, we designed prompts to address this issue [29,34]. Afrashtehfar et al [34] constructed an instrument that successfully assessed patient satisfaction in several ways. We optimized the latest version of their tool.

Migrant-Local Differences in the Relationship Between Oral Health, Social Support, and Loneliness Among Older Adults in Weifang, China: Cross-Sectional Study

Migrant-Local Differences in the Relationship Between Oral Health, Social Support, and Loneliness Among Older Adults in Weifang, China: Cross-Sectional Study

This may be due to the fact that, because of MOAs’ migration, they need more time to adapt to their new environment while LOA have been in a familiar environment for a long time. A negative association between oral health and loneliness was found among both MOAs and LOAs, which was similar to one existing study, which reported that older people who had a poor oral health status had higher odds of experiencing loneliness [60].

Estimation of Machine Learning–Based Models to Predict Dementia Risk in Patients With Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Diseases: UK Biobank Study

Estimation of Machine Learning–Based Models to Predict Dementia Risk in Patients With Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Diseases: UK Biobank Study

Nevertheless, the long-term risk of dementia progression (5 or 10 years) in patients with ASCVD remains uncertain. In this study, we used comprehensive phenotypic and follow-up data from a cohort of over 500,000 UK Biobank participants to develop an ML-based model capable of predicting the 5- or 10-year risk of incident dementia in specific patients with ASCVD.

Incidence of Deliberate Self-Harm in Hong Kong Before and During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Population-Wide Retrospective Cohort Study

Incidence of Deliberate Self-Harm in Hong Kong Before and During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Population-Wide Retrospective Cohort Study

These additional findings suggest that patients performing DSH had reduced access to health care services during COVID-19, potentially leading to worsening conditions and long-term repercussions postpandemic. Given the empirical evidence from this study and existing literature, continued surveillance post the COVID-19 pandemic is essential to determine whether a spillover effect occurred.
