A Financial Incentives Program to Promote Smoking Cessation Among Recently Hospitalized Individuals: Feasibility and Acceptability Study

Two previous studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of financial incentives in promoting smoking cessation in safety-net settings: Kendzor et al [29] included individuals who attended a tobacco cessation clinic and Lasser et al [21] included individuals in the primary care setting who were in the contemplation or preparation stage of readiness to quit smoking but not already in treatment.
