This study initially included 213,907 participants across 11 provinces, autonomous regions, or municipalities in China (Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Henan, Hubei, Guangdong, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Fujian, Jilin, Beijing, and Tianjin). Among the participants, 44,725 were at the eligible age for studying precocious puberty, and 38,980 of these (87.2%) accepted the related physical examination. Inclusion and exclusion criteria for the participants are shown in Figure 1.
